Where bloggers create II

Before I give you a tour of my creative spaces, I want to thank Karen Valentine for being our hostess with the mostess! A toast to you! I so enjoyed last years event! I didn't participate but I did look at every blog. Magnifique!
I signed up this time, walked to my "sewing/button hoarders room and had a panic attack. I thought about emailing Karen and opting out, but I ain't no quitter! I quickly left that room and went to what use to be our house garage. We have lived here 9 years and never had a vehicle inside of it. Time for a change. Mr Wonderful, at my nagging suggestion replaced the garage door with french doors. Let the games begin!

500 pages of sheet music, lots of Mod Podge, and an old Funk and Wagner dictionary later, Voila!

Mr. Wonderful removed the cabinet doors and painted the cabinets white while shaking his head. ( he just don't get it) and he really didn't get the sheet music deal. None the less I continued to glue dictionary pages to the back of the cabinets hoping thru osmosis I would learn to spell. Didn't work?

Now all my storage boxes needed to be matchy, matchy so more Mod Podge and dictionary pages.

The scrapbook  paper around the lid makes me giggle!

I was not liking the looks of the "primary colored' sizzix cutters so, you know the routine, Mod Podge and more dictionary pages.

More matchy, matchy!

Fasten your seat belts and keep your arms inside the ride at all times. Here we go!

I cut circles from the dictionary pages (who would have guessed?) and put them behind the knobs of the candy jars. SWEET!

A little girly fufu here and there;

I hung a couple of my collage pieces here. The paris one is available in my etsy shop.

I love all the storage and of course got to have some tunes! Anyone have the "Waiting to exhale" cd?

Are you wandering what those large brown things are?

They hold scrapbook paper, and lots of it. Would you ask Mr. Wonderful to paint them white, because I am afraid to.

A girl can't have too much paper or too many shoes!

This is where I work when I am out of wine and no one will come play with me!

My personal stash, but I can be bribed!

Cards that I make to sell  give away. Now we can move on to the sewing/button hoarding room.

Tallulah, open the door, we have guests! What's going on in there?

So, this is where I hoard buttons sew!

More M. P. and some delicious Graphics 45 paper. SEW what do you think?

Vintage linen pillows and yo yos. Yummy! Hey! Where are all the piles of fabric that usually cover that sofa?
I forgot that there was a sofa there.

No, those are not jars of buttons.

Yes, those are the cutest hanky curtains you have ever seen. And my sewing machine. I am in love.

Some fabric. Some books.

More fabric and a little hanky panky!

Drop leaf cutting table. LUUUUv it!

See, I told you I sew! My youngest daughter says she could so pretend to cook in that apron!

Hey! Who you calling a Floozy?

Hankies! I lost count at 4000.

A tiny little table with a few mother of pearl buttons. I hope you enjoyed your visit. Come back any time.  I know if you "get it " you will leave a comment, cause I do love me some comments, almost as much as buttons. TALLULAH! Where are your clothes?  Happy hunting! ~Robin~

  1. OMG I dont' know where to start... I didn't even recognize the garage! I think you should write a book with all of your creative ideas. Super proud and impressed right now! Also, I'm so in love with the last pic :-)

  2. Wow! I agree with Crystal. There are so many ideas here that you should write a book about DIY. This IS beautiful. This is amazing. I don't know what else to say. :) Have a happy party!

  4. Wow! That seems to say it all. Great photos...and I am so lucky I get to come and play in these wonderful rooms from time to time. Of course when we get started on a project the rooms don't look like this do they...especially if we've had some wine! I need to contact Websters dictionary...next to the word "creative", they need to put a picture of you! I don't even think they'll mind that you ripped up one of their books! Great job.

  5. Oh my! This is what my craft room going to be like in 12 months time! My husband is a neat freak and I am pretending to be a good girl for now, hiding all the 15 year old junk in that closet and close the door, so he doesn't see my "true color" yet! Maybe I should show him your blog so he could be mentally prepared! Thanks for sharing, I love your crafting space! And thanks for stopping by my blog!
