The thrill of the hunt!

After visiting a friend at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, we stopped at a few of my favorite stores. Home goods, Marshalls, Michaels, and Goodwill. The "junk whisperer" was in heaven! I love me some silver! Mr. Wonderful doesn't get the patina thing. He wants to polish it .

I can't resist a silver tray!  Everything looks better sittin on a Ritz silver tray!

Score! Bingo cards. I mount buttons on these babies! There was a penny in one of the boxes.

I use these metal picture frames to display vintage postcards, 50 cents each!

Cutest little playing cards, easy to hold, hard to shuffle!

I have been wishing for a candle-abra to fufu! I am thinking a little spray paint and teacups. Oh yea!

This Christineholm's porcelaine treat tray was brand spanking new in the box! I have a little china with rose hoarding addiction. Is there a 12 place setting step program? All these goodies cost $18.

These two sweeties spent two days at our house, cutting paper and creating masterpieces. Mr. Running with scissors said he had the best time of his life! Who wants to craft with Grandma?  Now I need a serious nap! Anyone else have a "where bloggers create " hangover? Happy hunting! ~Robin~

Elizabethtown Kentucky or E'town as the locals call it!

I may be responsible for the headlines in the E'town newspaper; E'town on the rebound! The city has seen some recuperation in the retail sector. I certainly did my part. Tuesday Mornings,Kirklands,TJmaxx,Goodwill, Hancock Fabrics and Pier One! Yes, I did my part!

Why Elizabethtown you ask? Golf resort! Happy Mr. Wonderful and his brother. 144 holes of golf in 4 days. What these two will endure to not have to shop!

My ever so patient and sweet sister-in-law bought me this gorgeous box. We both have a thing for boxes.  She let me pick an early birthday present!

This box came from Tuesday Mornings also.

I found this tray with germany backmark at the Goodwill. The blue Spode plate came from the Goodwill also.

I found this candle holder at Kirkland's along with the teacup fountain.

These signs I am not sure where I found.

The Lefton pitcher and bowl and the piece of gingerbreading came from an antique mall in Florence Kentucky.

A show of hands

More treasures from my trip to the GW on friday. Smalls as they call the good junk was half price, and she scores again!

The two hands in the back were marked 50 cents. yes, you heard me right. Where will I put the hands you ask?

Here with all the other hands, of course, in this awesome desk we found at an auction.

Just a little scary?! One of those collections that got out of hand. LOL

The hands holding the box in the middle is a cigarette holder. There is an ashtray to match somewhere.

The sad thing is this is not all the hands, there are more in the sewing room.

Fridays thrift finds part 1 or getting dressed after 4 days in my PJs

No, not the same PJs for 4 days! I got new ones for every day of the week from the girls at Christmas. So I got dressed on Friday and headed to the GW. Score! My name is Robin and I am a bookaholic!

Yesterday my dear friend Gigi and I headed out to the Goodwill. We scored big time. I found this beautiful tank.

The back is stunning.

Tallulah was so happy to be modeling something besides aprons. She was even happier when I transported her to the family room for her photo shoot. Project runway, lookout! We both love anything french. I still can't believe that I found this wonderful top!

The skirt I bought to make into aprons, but we won't tell Tallulah. She will be heart broken.

This is just a fun tank and a coverup. At our age coverups are good. Now for my favorite find!

The most comfortable gardening shoes in three colors and only $3.29 a pair. Come on spring!
